How do I figure what size liner I need?

The length of liner required = max length of pond + (2 times max depth) + 4' overlap. 2.0' all the way around the pond. This gives you wiggle room. The width of liner required = max width of pond + (2 times max depth) + 4' .

Example: 10 x 15 pond, 2 ft deep will need a liner:

10+2+2+4=18

15+2+2+4=23

In this example, you will need a liner 18 x 23.

To properly measure, use a stiff measuring tape and measure across the pond at the widest points, length and width.

It is highly recommended that you perform your pond excavation prior to purchasing a liner.  Also consider puchasing a pond liner repair kit for emergencies. You can join liners or secure waterfall to pond liners together using high quality liner tape.
